Solutions Provided
  • Show-through Prevention:Prevents base fabric color penetration on dark textiles through high-opacity coverage.
  • Clog Resistance:Reduces printhead clogging and nozzle dropouts caused by pigment sedimentation.
  • Yellowing & Fading Resistance:Eliminates yellowing and fading of white layers during storage or post-wash.
  • Adhesion Stability:Solves issues of ink peeling, scratching, or poor texture resulting from incomplete curing.
  • System Compatibility:Ensures compatibility with water-based piezo systems to prevent chemical coagulation and head damage.

Note: Ensure surfaces are non-water-repellent and porous when printing on non-apparel items like hats or bags.

FAQs:
Q: Are the print settings for white ink the same as for color inks?

A: No. Due to its high pigment concentration and different particle characteristics, white ink typically requires separate settings, such as a longer inkjet waveform or higher voltage, to achieve optimal jetting stability and coverage.

Q: Why must the white ink be shaken thoroughly before printing? How long should it be shaken?

A: Shaking redistributes the pigment particles that have settled at the bottom of the bottle back into uniform suspension. We recommend shaking the bottle vigorously for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until it feels consistently mixed with no heavy settlement. This is a crucial step to prevent streaks, uneven coverage, or clogging during printing.

Q: Can white ink be mixed with color inks from other brands?

A: We do not recommend mixing. The chemical formulations of inks from different brands may be incompatible. Mixing could cause chemical reactions, leading to precipitation or coagulation, which may severely damage the printhead. Please ensure the compatibility of the entire ink system, including both color and white inks.

Q: When printing a solid white design, does it require multiple passes like color printing?

A: Usually, a higher pass count is needed. To achieve a full, opaque white result, we recommend setting the white ink pass count to 1.5 to 2 times that of the color inks. The exact number can be fine-tuned based on your coverage requirements and printing speed.

Q: If the white ink feels powdery or scratches off easily after printing, is that normal?

A: It is not normal. This usually indicates insufficient temperature, pressure, or time during the heat transfer process, preventing the ink from fully curing and firmly bonding to the transfer film. Please ensure you strictly follow our recommended transfer parameters. After proper transfer, the ink layer should be smooth and durable.

Q: What non-apparel materials is white ink suitable for?

A: Besides common fabrics, it can also be used on some cotton or polyester-based materials like hats, tote bags, and shoe surfaces. However, adhesion will be poor on materials with coatings, water-repellent treatments, or non-porous surfaces (e.g., plastic, metal), and direct use is not recommended.

Compatible Printers & Printhead Support

This ink series is developed specifically for micro-piezo water-based printheads and is fully compatible with the following mainstream models and printer applications:

Printhead Series Model Typical Applications
Epson Series XP600 Entry-level modified DTF printers, A4/A3 powder-shaking machines

DX5 / DX7 Mid-speed commercial and industrial printers, such as modified Epson 4880 / 7880 / 9880, selected Mutoh and Roland models

5113 / 4720 High-speed printheads widely used in current mainstream DTF printers, including modified Epson L-series and new piezo systems

I3200 (4720 upgrade) Latest-generation high-speed printhead, ideal for machines producing 6–8 m² per hour
